Cigna's MA Plan Footprint is Growing

AEP: Here We Grow Again

It’s just about two more weeks until AEP begins! If you’ve hung around with Cigna for the last few years, you know that they have some ambitious growth goals for Medicare Advantage. Part of that growth strategy involves the value in the plans and benefits they offer, and another part is the geographic footprint.

• In 2022, they plan to enter 108 counties for the first time.
• They are offering new HMO plans in 119 counties and new PPO plans in 152 counties.
• DSNP plans will be available in 23 more counties than in 2021.
  

Seniors in three states – Connecticut, Oregon and Washington – who have not previously had Cigna plans in their Medicare Advantage lineup will be able to choose Cigna this year. This represents a 29% increase in Cigna’s footprint over 2021!
