Guest Speakers

Dwane McFerrin, CLU®, CFP®, RHU®, CLTC, LLIF has more than 30 years of experience in executive-level positions in the insurance industry. He has a strong background in the senior market, sales management, association and worksite marketing, client development, and lead generation. He also served as Chair for seven years on NABIP’s Medicare Working Group (formally NAHU) and currently serves on the organization's mental health task force and prescription drug task force.

Dwane holds a Master of Science Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, a Bachelor of Arts from Central College, and LIMRA's Leadership Institute Fellow designation. He also serves as an adjunct professor for Bellevue University teaching the capstone class to the MBA program, is a frequent contributor to insurance industry publications, and serves on carrier advisory boards.  

Joanna Wyckoff began her Medicare journey in 2010 while working with the Social Security Administration. In August of 2019, she wanted to do more work in the community and that is when she began her Medicare Entrepreneurship.

As Joanna learned more about Medicare sales, she was able to incorporate over 10 years of SSA knowledge to help brokers increase their book of business while impacting senior communities by providing education on their benefits and rights as Medicare Beneficiaries. Quickly she became a leading resource in the broker world, from training agents across the country to offering seminars on IRMAA, Extra Help, and SSI Aged.

In four short years Joanna has grown several social media groups for brokers. Included are “Medicare Mentors Media” with over 5,500 agents, “The Insurance Ladies” with over 7,300 agents,“ Medicare Agent Success in Retail” with eight hundred plus agents, along with several others. From guest speaking engagements at NABIPs nationwide to presentations at MedicareCon and Medicarians, Joanna is teaching her unique approach to Medicare sales.
