A letter has been sent to all current New York members enrolled in an AARP® Medicare Supplement Insurance Plan insured by UnitedHealthcare® Insurance Company of New York, to notify them of the 2026 proposed Medicare Supplement plan rates which have been submitted to the New York State Department of Financial Services. UnitedHealthcare is requesting rate updates due to changes in the anticipated benefit costs expected with these plans. The new rates are proposed for a rate change date of January 1, 2026.
Rate information will be posted on the New York State Department of Financial Services website. You can find a chart of all proposed Medicare Supplement plan rates for the plans in your area by entering your zip code on the DFS Portal.
Please note: After the rate submission, the New York State Department of Financial Services Superintendent may approve, change, or disapprove the proposed rate adjustment.
Once UnitedHealthcare receives final approval on rates for New York you will receive an annual rate change email including the updated rates for 2026.
