

A reminder from Wellcare about upcoming change to the Special Population (SPOP) & Medicaid Verification Call Center Hours of Operation. Effective July 1, 2022, the SPOP Call Center Hours of Operation will change to 8:00 AM – 11:00 PM EST. The SPOP Call Center assists with required Medicaid beneficiary eligibility verification for enrollment in Chronic Condition Special Needs Plans (CSNP) and Dual-Eligible Special Needs Plans (DSNP).

The Ascend platform provides a fast and accurate method for submitting applications. You can use the Ascend platform for application submission and automated Medicaid verification capability. Use of Ascend for application submission does not require pre-verification through the SPOP Call Center.
