UnitedHealthcare: JarvisWRAP for December 1

December 1, 2025
UnitedHealthcare

AEP tip of the week

This last week of the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) is a busy one! To help you save time, you can review the statuses of your applications on the Application page in Jarvis. UnitedHealthcare has also added the "Application Pend Codes Job Aid" to this page so you can see what action is required for any pended apps.

Important AEP tools and resources

Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) is wrapping up, and everyone is preparing for a powerful finish! The week after Thanksgiving is traditionally one of the busiest times of the year. UnitedHealthcare is here to help you make the most of this final push with these key resources:

  • The Applications page shows the status of applications submitted
  • The knowledgeable Producer Help Desk (PHD) representatives have extended hours. You can call or chat them Monday, Dec. 1 to Sunday, Dec. 7 from 7:00 a.m. – midnight CST.
  • The 2026 AEP Resources page in Jarvis provides information on Medicare Advantage plans and Medicare Supplement Plans

Important:

  • Online applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. CST on Sunday, Dec. 7
  • Paper applications must be signed by an enrollee and received and signed by you by midnight (local time) Saturday, Dec. 6 and submitted within 24 hours of receipt. Be sure you sign and date a paper application immediately upon receipt, as it must be dated the same day it is received from the consumer. This is also a critical step for you to be assigned as the Agent of Record. If you receive a paper application on or after Sunday, Dec. 7, follow these guidelines:
    • Sign and date the enrollment application based on the actual date of agent receipt (backdating is prohibited)
    • Submit the enrollment application to the Enrollment Department as you normally would. The Enrollment Department may need to pend or deny the enrollment application and reach out to the consumer for a valid election period (if applicable).
    • Do not destroy or hold AEP enrollment applications dated and/or received after Dec. 6. Submit all received applications to UnitedHealthcare's Enrollment Department.

As always, thank you for your dedication and for helping clients find the plan that's right for them this AEP.

Medicare Advantage members will receive their UnitedHealthcare UCard in December

The UnitedHealthcare UCard® is more than just a member ID card—it opens doors for members' care, rewards and more. Medicare Advantage members should receive their UCard and activation instructions by mail in December.

Encourage members to download the UnitedHealthcare mobile app or go online to:

  • Track their UCard shipment
  • Activate their UCard
  • Access the digital UCard for shopping in store, as applicable
  • Watch education videos about how to use their digital UCard

Learn more, including how you can support clients, in the "UnitedHealthcare UCard – Quick Reference Guide" in Jarvis.

Simple steps for SSBCI verification

UnitedHealthcare will be offering supplemental and non-medical benefits through Special Supplemental Benefits for the Chronically Ill (SSBCI) in 2026. These benefits—like healthy food*—may make a big difference, so they thoughtfully crafted a process to verify a D-SNP member's qualifying condition and continue providing benefits in 2026.

  • Current members: Most don't need to do anything—over 90% are already verified
  • New members: They may need to complete the Additional Benefit Verification step during enrollment

Good news: New members who self-indicate a qualifying condition get 60 days of SSBCI benefits while verification is completed.
