New business technology is on the way for brokers!

HealthSpring's business technology enhancements for Medicare Advantage (MA), Prescription Drug Plans (PDP), and Supplemental Benefits (CSB) launch on December 15! These include a new contracting system for all brokers/agents, and a new commissions experience for MA/PDP users.

Benefits of the new system

The new system will offer seamless registration, streamlined onboarding, more self-service options, better reporting, and for MA/PDP commissions – more visibility into payments and flexible statement downloading formats.

Training and reference resources for brokers

Learn how to manage the new system with the resources below. On-demand training and reference guides: Review at your convenience and have on hand for when it's time to log in to the new broker portal next week!

For on-demand training, first log in to the broker portal. The following videos are directly linked once you do so:

For reference guides:

  1. Start by going to New Business Technology (Contracting and Commissions) (login required)
  2. Click the plus sign (+) to expand the External folder
  3. Go to Brokers
  4. Download the guide topics that most apply to your role

Topics include:

  • Accessing the new system
  • Changing your demographic information
  • Checking your license and appointment status
  • Requesting hierarchy changes
  • Viewing the HRA dashboard (for MA)
  • Accessing commission statement and activity (for MA/PDP)
  • Tracking AEP readiness (for MA)

FAQs: Spotlighted topics include important hierarchy and EFT account changes for all Medicare brokers.

Please note:

  • CSB: The Agent Inquiry function will be integrated into the new contracting system, making hierarchy/downlines and agent appointment status easier to look up and navigate. Go here for a handy guide.
  • MA/PDP: Starting on December 15, all agencies will be required to have an active, licensed, and certified principal agent.
