Pre-Order PY2024 Sales Materials Through August 20

Pre-ordering for 2024 AEP sales materials through the CustomPoint portal is now open for certified brokers through Sunday, August 20, 2023. During this window of time you may select plan year 2024 and order materials to be delivered ahead of October 1, 2023.

Standard ordering through the portal will be available beginning September 27, 2023, and will have a turnaround time of 5-7 business days.

Review All the Ways to Earn Commissions

With AEP just around the corner and 2024 commission rate announcements coming up, now is an excellent time to review the variety of ways Wellcare commissions can be earned to maximize your compensation throughout the year.

Balance your book of business with payments from each of these sources:

  1. Advanced Commission Payments - New to Wellcare/Initial enrollments will be prorated for the first calendar year for brokers. The prorated payment is based on the number of months the member is expected to be on the plan from the effective date through the remainder of the calendar year.
  2. New to Medicare Advantage payment (true-up) - This payment is based on the monthly CMS compensation report. If the member is determined to be within their initial year for Medicare Advantage, an additional true-up payment will be made.
  3. Earned member renewal payments - This payment is for brokers and hierarchies who demonstrate continued service to our members by retaining membership from one calendar year to the next. Brokers and hierarchies must complete required annual training each year to be eligible for payment.
  4. HRA/VBE payments - These payments are made based on completion of the Health Risk Assessment immediately after completion of a new application

Ascend Provider Search Updates

As recently communicated, improvements have been made to the Provider Search feature within the Ascend Enrollment Platform

New Features Highlights

  • Hover over feature displays a drop down Accepted Plans table providing information on which plans are accepted for the provider at a particular location.
  • Contract numbers have been added to the Accepted Plans table to provide accurate verification of plans accepted.
  • Hover over capability has been added for the “More Locations” prompt. View all additional provider locations to see which plans are accepted by this provider at each specific location.
  • Additional functionality added to the "More" prompt to expand the provider details to view status, specialties, accepted plans and more.
  • Ability to select multiple providers and designate a Primary Care Physician (PCP).

 New ID Card Feature in Centene Workbench

As a reminder, printable enrollment ID cards for members are now available in Centene Workbench. You may download and print member enrollment ID cards within your Book of Business directly from your Centene Workbench Broker Portal.

Highlights of the ID Card Feature

  • The new feature is located within the Book of Business widget in Centene Workbench
  • Enrollment ID cards are available for members in all Centene and Wellcare plans
