Over the past few weeks, wellcare has received a number of inquiries regarding the recent change of status with Albany Medical Hospital. They would like to take this opportunity to provide some clarification.
As many may already be aware, Saratoga Hospital and Glens Falls Hospital are now part of the Albany Med umbrella. With Albany Med being a Non-Participating provider with wellcare, this now means that Saratoga and Glens Falls will also be Non-Participating with wellcare.
It is important to note that this change will only affect wellcare plans; Wellcare by Fidelis plans WILL NOT be affected. Fidelis has its own network, and all three hospitals will continue to be participating with Fidelis for 2024.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to your local Regional Area Manager.
