As most of you are aware, the federal government put the Public Health Emergency (PHE) in place in response to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. The PHE is set to end on May 11, 2023.
What does this mean for members?
Members will continue to have no-cost access to the following services through the end of 2023:
After the PHE ends, UPMC for Life HMO and PPO members may have cost-sharing for the following COVID-19-related services. Changes to out-of-pocket costs do not apply to UPMC for Life Complete Care (HMO SNP)members.
All UPMC for Life HMO and PPO members will receive a note in the upcoming National Senior Health & Fitness Day mailing to let them know of these changes. This mailing will go out starting on April 26 through May 1. If you or your clients would like more information, you can also visit the UPMC COVID-19 page.
