Special Election Periods (SEP) in New York

Due to the recent State of Emergency declared on 11/26/21 for COVID-19 in New York State, there will be a one-time-use Special Enrollment Period granted for clients who missed enrolling into a plan using other Enrollment Periods that are no longer valid. 

This new SEP is available to use throughout all of New York State through March 31, 2022.

Do you have clients that missed AEP or another SEP for a 1/1/2021 effective date?

Do you have D-SNP clients wanting to change plans but the D-SNP SEP is not valid until the first quarter?

Take advantage of the Disaster SEP:

• Type of Disaster: COVID-19
• Impacted Counties from FEMA, State, or Local declaration: Statewide
• Declaration Date: 11/26/2021
• Incident State Date: 11/26/2021
• Incident End Date: 1/15/2022
• SEP State Date: 11/26/2021
• SEP End Date: 3/31/2022
