Special Election Period (SEP) in effect for Virginia

FEMA Declares State of Emergency

Please be advised that due to Tropical Storm Helene, FEMA has issued a major disaster declaration in the State of Virginia in the counties of Grayson, Smyth, Tazewell, Washington, Wise, Wythe, and the City of Galax.

An SEP exists for individuals affected by a disaster or other emergency declared by a Federal, state, or local government entity who were unable to and did not make an election during another valid election period.
