Effective August 1, Modivcare will begin providing transportation services to Cigna Healthcare Medicare Advantage customers whose plans offer this benefit.
Cigna believes this change will provide customers with a better overall experience due to Modivcare's broader network which includes Uber, Lyft, and other local transportation.
How this affects your customers:
Customers that have used the transportation benefit were notified with this letter on either June 19, 20, 26, or 27. (Log in to Producers' University to view the letter.)
The current vendor, Access2Care, will continue assisting customers through July 31, and there will be no need to rebook existing ride reservations for August 1 or later as they will be automatically transferred to Modivcare.
When Modivcare becomes effective on August 1, customers can continue using the same phone number for booking rides. There will be no change in the transportation benefits, so customers will be minimally impacted.
How to contact Modivcare:
Medicare Advantage customers with access to transportation benefits can contact Modivcare or schedule rides by calling Modivcare customer service or visiting the member portal.
