On September 13, Cigna's Flexible Choice Dental, Vision & Hearing product will be available for sale in DC, ID, MN, MT, OH, & SD, in addition to the previously launched states: AK, AL, AR, AZ, CT, DE, FL, GA, HI, IA, IL, IN, KS, LA, ME, MI, MO, MS, NE, NV, NH, ND, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VT, WI, WV & WY. Sell new Dental, Vision & Hearing with the helpful tools below:
CHLIC Med supp is available in MT & ND
Cigna's Medicare supplement product, insured by Cigna Health and Life Insurance Company (CHLIC), is now available for sale in MT and ND!
ARLIC in MT and ND
A reminder that, effective September 10, American Retirement Life Insurance Company (ARLIC) Medicare supplement products will no longer be available for sale under your distribution in Montana and North Dakota. All applications for ARLIC Medicare supplement products in MT and ND must be signed by September 9 and must be in Cigna'soffice by September 20.
CHLIC rate decrease in VA
Starting October 1, Cigna Health and Life Insurance Company (CHLIC) will implement the following rate adjustments for Medicare supplement in Virginia:
CNHIC rate holds in IN, PA, and SC
Effective September 1, Cigna National Health Insurance Company (CNHIC) implemented the following rate holds for Medicare supplement in Indiana, South Carolina, and Pennsylvania:
Cancer Treatment product in NH
Effective immediately, due to changes in state compliance regulations, Cigna's Cancer Treatment product is no longer available for sale under your distribution in New Hampshire. Please note that this change does not affect Cigna's Lump Sum Cancer product availability.
Customer address updates
Agents now have the ability to request updates to customer addresses on the customer's behalf, if the request is made within 30 days of policy activation. The following items apply to this change:
For policies that are area-rated, an address change may cause a change in the premium amount. Agents should educate customers of this when submitting address change requests.
Medicare supplement agents who are Cross-contracted with Medicare Advantage
Agents who are cross-contracted with Cigna's Medicare Advantage business will have a single-sign-on portal via Cignaforbrokers.com beginning September 15. From within the Cignaforbrokers.com portal, agents can navigate to AgentViewCigna.com making it easier to navigate and sell multiple lines of business.
Welcome calls for new customers
In an effort to welcome new customers, Cigna will begin contacting new Medicare supplement and Dental, Vision & Hearing customers via a recorded phone message starting on September 13. Welcome messages for Supplemental Health customers will begin in October. The messages will be offered in English and Spanish, and will provide customers general information about customer service, myCigna, and ID cards.
