Ramp Up Your Referrals

Referral marketing relies on word of mouth. Have you asked your Medicare members if they’re happy with your service? If you haven’t, summer is a great time of year to find out and tap into the power of referrals. Be sure to:

  • Be referable: You become more valuable when you know your stuff, do what you say, and let people know they matter.
    • Referred customers convert at a 30% higher rate than leads generated from other marketing channels
  • Stay attuned to your members’ needs: Building trust can lead to more referrals and higher retention.
    • Customers referred by other customers have a 37% higher retention rate
  • Expand your marketing plan: Add social media content, display your signage in more locations, and email your members with a request to tell family and friends about Molina and you.
    • 92% of consumers trust referrals from people they know
  • Network matters: Grow and engage your network through CBOs, social media, and educational events.
    • 65% of new business opportunities come from referrals and recommendations

Reminders:

  • You cannot ask for phone numbers to make an outbound call to referrals. You can provide your business card, and a referral source can call you.
  • Marketing materials must be Molina- and CMS-approved prior to use.
  • No marketing at educational events.
