Important Update to the “Find A Provider” Tool in Wellcare Website

 In the continuous efforts to provide you with timely information to aid in your success, Wellcare would like to inform agents about a recent update to the Find A Provider tool in the Wellcare website (www.wellcare.com). All providers now have a Primary Care Provider (PCP) indicator added to their profile regardless of their PCP status.

• Providers who qualify as PCPs can be identified by the indicator Primary Care Provider: Yes    
• Providers who do not qualify as PCPs can be identified by the indicator Primary Care Provider: No

When searching for a PCP to add to an enrollment application, please ensure that the provider’s Primary Care Provider indicator is set to Yes. If the provider’s Primary Care Provider indicator is set to No, the member will be auto-assigned a PCP.
