Important Update From EmblemHealth

EmblemHealth recently announced an important, late-breaking update to the out-of-area wrap network solution previously shared with agents for their 2026 plans.

This update only applies to the out-of-area wrap network portion of new large group proposals where:

• Cigna Healthcare® is the incumbent; or
• More than 30% of the group’s subscribers reside outside of the service area*; or
• A group has fewer than 25 eligible subscribers.

Where Cigna Healthcare is an incumbent, where more than 30% of the group’s subscribers reside outside of the service area, or where a group has fewer than 25 eligible subscribers, EmblemHealth wrap network access will be serviced by QualCare in New Jersey and First Health Network in all other states.

Again, this change only impacts the out-of-area network wrap solution available with EmblemHealth plans.

*Cigna Healthcare wrap coverage outside of New York state for eligible groups sitused in Sullivan, Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Westchester, Bronx, New York, Richmond, Kings, Nassau, Suffolk and Queens counties.
