Important Update from EmblemHealth — New Dental Partner!

Welcoming Expanded Access Through DentaQuest

Effective Sept 1, 2025* EmblemHealth will be changing their dental partner from Healthplex to DentaQuest for:

  • Essential Plan.
  • Enhanced Care (Medicaid), Enhanced Care Plus (HARP), and Child Health Plus.
  • Medicare Advantage plans.
  • Qualified health plans (QHP) for individuals, families, and small groups.

EmblemHealth is excited about the value and access to care this will bring to their members. Please note, most current dentists will remain in-network.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Members will receive a notification about the change approximately 30 days before the Sept. 1 transition to DentaQuest.
  • New member ID cards with the DentaQuest Customer Service phone number on the back of the card will be mailed out in mid-August.
  • Prior to Sept. 1, members looking for a new dentist may contact DentaQuest Customer Service. Beginning Sept. 1, members may use the EmblemHealth Find Care tool.
  • Members with a dentist who will no longer be in our network as of Sept. 1 will also receive a letter approximately 30 days in advance of the change.
  • Current members undergoing treatment from a dentist who will no longer be in-network must contact DentaQuest before Sept. 1 to request a continuation of care for up to 90 days.
