

Insulin Savings Program (ISP) - Humana has expanded its participation in the Part D Senior Savings Model in many plans across the US. At Humana they call it the Insulin Savings Program. This program allows a reduced cost on select insulin where a member will be offered a stable $35 or less copay on a 30 day supply through the coverage gap. ISP is included in all states in the Humana Premier RX plan (PDP). Currently the ISP benefit is not included in the MA/MAPD plans in CT or MA, however if you’re selling across state lines this information could be useful.
In NY – ISP is offer on the following plans –
H3533-001, H3533-006, H3533-013 – These are all HMO plans.
H5970-015, H5970-001, H5970-018 – These are all PPO plans.
S5552-005 – Premier PDP
In CT, MA, RI, VT
S5884-149 – Premier PDP

Diabetic Testing Supplies – The Diabetic testing supplies conversation can be very involved. Most testing monitors are covered as DME in the evidence of coverage. Using an in-network DME supplier is very important when looking to assist your member. You can search in-network DME partners on the Find-A-Doctor tool Physician Search - Humana. Use the Medical tab as you would use for doctors. Under category select all. Under name, specialty, condition – type in "DME". Select the durable medical equipment and medical supplies in the drop down. This will give you a list of all in network DME supplies.
