Highmark's 2025 Star Ratings Released

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently announced Highmark’s 2025 Star Ratings for Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Delaware, and Western and Northeastern New York Medicare Advantage (MA) plans.

Scores were strong again this year, with many plans achieving the highest score possible! The following provides a high-level overview of Highmark's 2025 Star Ratings that you can use when discussing their products.

Pennsylvania HMO: 5 Stars

Pennsylvania PPO: 4.5 Stars

In Pennsylvania, Highmark’s Community Blue Medicare HMO, Security Blue HMO-POS, and Together Blue Medicare HMO plans achieved the highest possible quality rating from CMS, 5 out of 5 Stars.

Highmark’s Community Blue Medicare PPO, Community Blue Medicare Plus PPO, Complete Blue PPO, and Freedom Blue PPO plans received a very high 4.5 out of 5 Stars rating.

In addition, Highmark Wholecare’s Medicare Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan received a 4.5 out of 5 Stars.

West Virginia PPO: 4.5 Stars

In West Virginia, Highmark’s Freedom Blue PPO plans received a 4.5 out of 5 Stars.

Delaware PPO: 4 Stars

In Delaware, Highmark’s Freedom Blue PPO plans again received a 4 out of 5 stars, a very respectable result for a smaller but rapidly growing plan only in its second year of existence

Western and Northeastern New York PPO: 4 Stars

In Western and Northeastern New York, HMO plans scored 4.5 out of 5 Stars and PPO plans all scored 4 out of 5 Stars.
