Highmark and US Digestive Health Reach Multi-Year Agreement

Highmark recently came to an agreement with US Digestive Health (USDH), a large gastroenterology practice with more than 40 locations in Delaware and Pennsylvania. USDH was previously out-of-network with Highmark, but they have now reached a multi-year contract, bringing them back into the network effective September 20, 2024.

What do I need to know?

• Impact on Members: Members who received services from USDH while it was out-of-network may be eligible for reimbursement. USDH and Highmark will both work to process these claims.
• New Contract: The terms of the new contract are confidential, but Highmark has worked to limit cost increases for members and clients.
• Member Communication: Highmark will send letters to members who were previously notified of USDH's out-of-network status by October 4, 2024. A sample letter can be found here.
