Florida Blue Medicare

Value-Based Enrollment Program at Point-of-Sale to End September 30th

HRA Completion Will No Longer be Available in SalesConnect and Connecture

The difficult decision has been made that the Value-Based Enrollment program will no longer be offered at the point of sale in SalesConnect or Connecture after September 30, 2024. Florida Blue Medicare appreciate your efforts to support this program since its inception.

Please note: See below for respective timelines for SalesConnect and Connecture changes at point-of sale at it relates to this program.

Details

The Value-Based Enrollment program will no longer be offered to customers and agents at the point-of-sale, and any compensation associated with the VBE opt-in and completion HRA questionnaire will discontinue after September 30, 2024. This impacts both the SalesConnect “Call Now” and “Schedule Later” options, as well as the online HRA completion functionality in Connecture at point-of-sale.

SalesConnect

  • The “Call Now” and “Schedule Later” selection will no longer be available in SalesConnect on the submission confirmation page after September 30th
  • Any “Schedule Later” selected and scheduled after September 30th will not be called by the Florida Blue Health Advocate team.
  • Note:  All requested call backs to complete the HRA should be scheduled before the deadline of September 30th. Those call appointments scheduled on September 30th are at risk of not being completed due to call center capacity constraints, so please advise the enrollee when scheduling for the last day of the program.

Connecture

  • After September 26th, HRA questionnaires will no longer be available for completion at the conclusion of the application submission. Connecture currently allows up to 4 calendar days for the completion of the HRA within the sales portal post-submission, therefore all HRAs should be completed before the September 30th deadline.

Agent Compensation

After September 30th, you may still see compensation statements which shows the VBE program as an open or blank line item. However, no compensation associated with the Value-Based Enrollment program will be issued after September 30th. All HRA questionnaires must be completed by this deadline to qualify for compensation.

Next Steps

Please be advised of this change to the program when meeting with enrollees for the month of September. Reach out to your Broker Manager with any questions you may have.
