NYS Special Election Period Notice

In January, New York State declared a State Disaster Emergency due to severe storms that caused power and gas outages. A Special Election Period (SEP) can be used in the counties of Allegany, Cattaraugus, Cayuga, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Jefferson, Lewis, Livingston, Monroe, Niagara, Ontario, Orleans, Oswego, Wyoming, and contiguous counties until 3/31/24.

PAXLOVID Coverage Update

Your clients may be eligible to receive oral antivirals for the treatment of COVID-19 for $0 cost share through the end of 2024. Medicare members are encouraged to register for the PAXCESS program before picking up their prescription to ensure that PAXLOVID is provided to them at no cost.

With the exception of Med Supp, all Excellus BCBS Medicare members will receive the educational notice linked below on enrolling in the PAXCESS program.
