CIGNA TO TRANSITION MEDICAID CONTRACTS TO MOLINA
You may have recently heard that Cigna announced an agreement with Molina Healthcare, allowing Molina to acquire Cigna’s Texas Medicaid contracts and certain operating assets. Please know that this change does not impact Cigna’s dual special needs plans (DSNPs). Dual-eligible customers and prospects should not experience any type of disturbance with their coverage.
Molina is an established player across the state of Texas. They are highly respected in the industry with an established track record that will provide continued commitment for those who are eligible for Medicaid in Texas. Cigna is confident in their ability to provide a seamless transition for affected customers and team members.
Cigna is committed to its Medicare Advantage customers and growing our membership. Their ambitious growth goals for Medicare Advantage – projecting 10-15 percent growth year-over-year – remain unchanged.
