Cigna has a new MA and Supplemental benefits newsletter that's launching in August! This newsletter will include information that impacts brokers that sell MA, PDP, and Supplemental products. Be on the lookout for the first edition of this newsletter, named Broker Insights, at the end of August.
On June 30th, 64 Disaster (DST) Special Election Periods (SEPs) with open and/or ongoing declaration end dates that had not been updated by the issuing states expired. As always, please reference the 'Ongoing SEP Tracker' found in the Resource Center of Producers' University under 'Agent Communications' for a full list of active and inactive DST SEPs.
Starting this AEP, Cigna Healthcare will automatically email a digital enrollment/sales kit to all 2025 effective date MAPD and Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) customers when you enroll them using an online enrollment tool and provide a valid customer email address. While you'll still be able to order printed sales kits if needed, you will no longer need them when conducting online or telephonic enrollments. Tip: Cigna recommends ordering a small supply of sales kits to use as "show and tell" during your enrollment conversations.
Still need a small supply of sales kits? Now is the time to place your orders for AEP 2025. MA and PDP sales materials are available to order on CustomPoint. If you're certified for 2025, you can order printed sales kits from July 15 to August 30, then again after October 1st. Be prepared for AEP and order your MA and PDP kits today.
Most enrollment platforms include a 'Notes' section. Make sure to use this section to provide additional enrollment details as needed (e.g., SOA confirmation number, SEP details, factors that may impact/distinguish the enrollment, more information regarding an 'OTH' enrollment, etc.).
The information should be provided clearly and concisely through a couple of sentences. Please refrain from typing one-word notes or copying/pasting large amounts of text (e.g., portions of a DST SEP email).
