Cigna recognizes the significant amount of time and work it takes to build your business. That's why they want to remind you that they are committed to protecting your Agent of Record status as well as the commissions you’ve earned for the customers you’ve enrolled. If you believe that an internal Cigna agent completed a plan change that impacted your Agent of Record status, please call the Cigna Agent Resource Line (CARL) for assistance.
OEP TRAININGS
During the month of February, Cigna is hosting three new training courses. These courses will focus on Cigna’s enrollment tool (Connecture DRX), TRICARE for Life, and VA benefits. You’ll learn valuable tips to conduct compliant enrollments, increase your sales, and grow your business while serving our active-duty military, and Veteran Medicare beneficiaries. Make sure to register for a session, and check out our March training calendar for more trainings coming soon.
OCC-SEP GUIDANCE
Did you know there is a one-time Other Creditable Coverage (OCC) SEP? The OCC SEP is a good option for someone with TRICARE or VA coverage that doesn’t need an MA drug benefit. The OCC SEP allows your customer to move back to Original Medicare or enroll in the Cigna Courage (MA-only) plan. The SEP Code is ‘S’. Contact CARL or your Broker Sales Manager to learn more.
PART B BUY DOWN PROGRAM
Some of your customers may have access to the Part B Buy Down benefit. This is a program administered through the Social Security Administration (SSA) office. Cigna pays the SSA directly to cover part of your customer’s Part B premium. As a result, your customers may begin to receive rebate checks in the mail. Note: It may take up to three months for customers to receive their checks following January 1. Please make sure your customers are aware that the Part B Premium Statement they receive is a credit, and not a bill.

WELLNESS CORNER
February is heart health and low vision awareness month. Your customers can get $30 added to their Cigna Healthy Today card when they get their yearly health checkup with their doctor. Yearly checkups can help detect heart health issues. Many of our plans also include vision benefits that can help address low vision concerns. Make sure your customers are taking advantage of their benefits!
