I’m writing with updates on our Medicare strategy and to reinforce how important your partnership is to us.
Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic continues to disproportionately impact our individual Medicare population in New York who are at high risk for severe illness and hospitalization and many of whom are in underserved areas. Due to these continued circumstances, our focus must be on providing the necessary clinical and social supports to keep our Medicare members well. To do that, we will put our time and resources toward the needs of our current Medicare members.
That means we will reduce a portion of our New York Medicare sales team, but we are not leaving the Medicare market and will continue to sell our products both directly and through you as brokers. Above all, we will continue to support our membership. This decision does not impact our individual Medicare business in Connecticut or our group Medicare business.
We wanted you to be aware of this change as your partnership is important to us. Our Medicare members are important to us and continue to be the most satisfied members with our plan.* It’s our commitment to continue to support them by ensuring they are receiving the care and resources they need as we continue through this pandemic. We appreciate your support and dedication to the health of our members.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact your Broker Support team.
Sincerely,
Eric Galvin
