5-star UPDATE: BEST quality plan in PA

Last week UPMC announced that they earned an excellent 5 out of 5 stars from Medicare for 2024, placing them among the highest-rated Medicare plans in the nation. Shortly after, they learned that UPMC for Life is the BEST quality Medicare Advantage plan in PA!

What does this mean? It means that UPMC for Life is the ONLY Medicare Advantage plan in Pennsylvania to earn an excellent 5 out of 5 stars for both their HMO and PPO plans for 2024! Their enhanced plan benefits coupled with this distinction gives UPMC a strong, competitive advantage for AEP and the upcoming year.

Don’t keep all of this good news to yourself! UPMC has created a star rating talking points flier as a guide to help you discuss their 5-star rating with your clients and explain what this means to UPMC for Life members. These talking points are for your use only and should not be distributed to Medicare members.

In the next two weeks, UPMC  will be shipping you new Star Ratings forms to be included in your 2024 enrollment kits. CMS requires that all enrollment kits be updated with the 2024 Star Ratings forms by no later than Nov. 3, 2023.
