EPIC Cancellations

A total of 4,605 first-quarter 2019 non-payment cancellations were made retroactive to December 31, 2018. The payment was due no later than 1/21/2019 or the member would be canceled for nonpayment.
- If a member is canceled for nonpayment but they want to continue EPIC coverage:
o The EPIC Member should call the EPIC Helpline: 1-800-332-3742
o A new account will be created and a new EPIC ID number will be created
o A new bill will be sent to the member and EPIC coverage will begin only after the payment has been received
o A card with the new ID number will be sent to the member after payment is received
o The Medicare/LIS information cannot be transferred from the old account. The new account will not have the Medicare/LIS information until it is received through the monthly CMS process
