Certification Instructions

You will also receive an email from Quia that contains your user name and password, which you will need to access the Quiz. You will have from September 1st – September 24th and only three (3) attempts, to pass the quiz with a score of 85% or higher To ensure your success, please complete each module.  The training module DOES NOT require a log in.   When you are ready to take the required quiz, you will need to login to Quia.  Watch for a separate e-mail from Quia.com – this is not a phishing email. 

During the quiz, agents have the ability to skip a question and backtrack to complete it.  You are encouraged to complete the quiz in one sitting.   If you cannot do so: you can save your progress, log out, and continue at a later time.   Do not leave the quiz without saving your progress.

Is AHIP Required for Certification?

AHIP is not required but will be accepted by UPMC for Life as part of your certification.  Please make sure you login to the following link as this lets AHIP share your testing results with UPMC.

Please note, that UPMC for Life does require Parts 1, 2, and 3 to be completed also for the AHIP training. The Medicare Fraud, Waste & Abuse and General Compliance must also be completed on the AHIP website in order to meet UPMC for Life requirements. If you have already completed your AHIP, and logged into the UPMC site, you do not have to take any further action.


Will Certifying for 2018 Allow Me to Sell 2017 Products?

No, completing 2018 certification will not count for the remainder of the 2017 selling season.

How Do I Retrieve My Username and Password?

You will receive an email directly from Quia with your username and password.  You will need this login information to complete the training quiz.  If you do not receive the email and cannot find it in your spam folder, please contact your broker manager.

Important Information
  • Must be able to access Cavulus frequently to retrieve leads and update leads within 72 hours
  • Must place your broker code at the top of applications

How to Upload Applications to the Secure Application Manager.

All applications for UPMC must be submitted through AllRep’s Secure Application Manager.  Due to new CMS cybersecurity regulations we can no longer accept faxed or emailed applications.  Click here to download the step-by-step user guide, or follow the steps below.

  • Log in to CareValue.com
  • Hover over your name and select “AllRep”
  • Select the “Secure Application Manager” button
  • Disposition your application, and enter in beneficiary info
  • Select “Check Opportunities”
  • Create a new app or edit business under an existing client
  • If you have created a new app, enter in additional beneficiary information
  • Select “Next”
  • Enter in plan information (all fields on this screen are required)
  • Select “Next”
  • Attach appropriate files, click “file type” to label the file.  You may drag and drop files or browse and select from your computer.  Your files may include:
    • Scope of Appointment
    • Enrollment Application
    • EPIC App
    • Agent Worksheet
    • Enrollment Confirmation
  • Select “Next”
  • Review your application information.  Use the “Previous” button to make changes to your submission.
  • Click “Submit Application”


General Information:

Brokers MUST be certified and product-trained annually to receive commissions on new sales AND renewals.  All commissions for UPMC Health Plan are paid to agents by Care Value™.
