AARP Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans to Pay Commission in New York on Enrollments for Consumers Under Age 65

Effective immediately, commissions will be payable for AARP® Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans, insured by UnitedHealthcare Insurance Company of New York, for under age 65 enrollment applications written in New York, for plan effective dates of August 1, 2016 or later.

Enrollment applications submitted and accepted for consumers who reside in New York and are under age 65 as of the plan effective date, will be paid at 100% of the commission rate (applies to all levels) of the AARP Medicare Supplement Commission Schedule for 65+. A revised 2017 commission schedule was sent out via email on December 15, 2016.

Please note, AARP Medicare Supplement Plan applications submitted on, or after October 8, 2016, for consumers under age 65 who are New York residents, have been evaluated for commission and issued payment accordingly.

In addition, under age 65 AARP Medicare Supplement Plan applications for New York residents with plan effective dates of August 1, 2016, or later, that were processed prior to October 8, 2016, will also be reevaluated for commission payment. Commissions for these eligible applications will be reflected in the December 2016 or January 2017 commission statement.
